The Kildare Half Marathon starts at The Curragh Racecourse and finishes in Kildare Town Square. The course was chosen to showcase all that is great about Kildare.
After leaving the enclosure of The Curragh Racecourse, continue on towards the M7 motorway roundabout and take the 2nd exit on the 2nd roundabout and head towards Curragh Camp. Once you run through Curragh Camp at the end of the road take a left and run along the Curragh and past Brownstown Great. Keep following the road around and stay on the right hand side towards Ballysax Plain. Turn right at Ballysax Plain and then left at Ballysax Great towards Martinstown. When you reach Martinstown turn right back towards Cut Bush. At the end of the road take the left past the Cut Bush Pub and carry on straight past the famous Browns Yard and Sheshoon Yard where some of Irelands finest horses are bread and trained. Continue through the stud farms until you come to Tully East where you take a left past the National Stud and Japanese gardens. Take the next right and head towards Kildare Town and the finish line will be in your site!
